Can't Get No Satistfaction
Kenzo is having piano lessons and is practising for the school concert. He is driving Ben crazy. He is not good. Susan and Janey, naturally, think he’s brilliant. Ben finds it strange that Kenzo seems not to have inherited any of his musical talent and, much to Susan’s surprise, it appears that Ben used to play in a band, The Revolutions, before he knew her.
Michael and Alfie meanwhile, are investigating the world of internet dating, but the details of the two have been mixed up and Michael will have to be Alfie, and Alfie will have to be Michael. Alfie’s not too keen until he sees pictures of the two girls.
Ben gets his guitar from the attic and decides to get his old band together for a session. This proves to be not quite the success he thought as it transpires that the only reason they didn’t sling him out of the band last time around was because he was the only one who had a car. The trouble is that nobody wants to tell him, so they ask Susan to do the deed. She thinks Ben will be crushed by the news - and readily agrees to tell him. When it comes to it, Ben is now so upbeat by actually having friends that she doesn’t have the heart to break the news to him.
Michael and Alfie go on their date pretending to be each other, a situation which becomes further complicated by the girls’ wanting to swap boys!
At the school concert, Ben is so critical of Kenzo that Susan breaks the news about the band, but Ben simply doesn’t believe it and explains that, as they have another band rehearsal the next day. One of them is going to look very foolish at 10.30 tomorrow.
At 11.30, it is obvious, that the lads aren’t coming and Susan gives him some healing words to comfort Ben. He, in turn, has to find some comforting words for young Kenzo who has overheard some parents at the concert saying he is rubbish. Ben and Kenzo decide to jam together.
