Once More with Feeling
Roger and Abi never stop kissing and it is ruining the family breakfast. Susan covers them up with a tea towel, Ben hits them over the head with the paper. Roger says it is alright as they are engaged to be married and they have named the day, it’s Saturday.
Not sure which Saturday!
Ben’s DVD boxed set of Nazi’s in Colour has arrived. He is settling down for hours of pleasure when Janey comes in and asks for his advice on schooling for Kenzo.
Roger and Abi are still kissing which leaves Susan wanting to know if they were ever that passionate. Susan says their big day was crap, she decides they should re new their vows. The thought of having to say they love each other in front of people is too much for Ben to cope with. He thinks it is pointless. When Susan starts to throw away sexy outfits Ben has to agree and then he rushes off to watch his DVD’s rather than make love with Susan.
Alfie joins him on the very edge of the sofa bed.
The next morning, Janey goes to the vestry after morning service to approach the vicar about Kenzo’s schooling. When Susan comes down Alfie and Ben are on the sofa bed together asleep!
Janey returns and is upset the vicar has come on to her and Ben and Susan tell her and Michael they are re newing their wedding vows on Saturday the 14th. Alfie apologises to Ben about being asleep on the sofa, Ben wants to know why Alfie had no clothes on. Michael is given the job of finding their old friends to ask them to come to the ceremony.
Susan has dug out their old wedding outfits. Ben tries his on only to find it is a little tight whereas Susan’s is perfect. The phone rings and it is one of Ben’s friends asking him to a football match on Saturday 14th! Ben is thrilled as it is the biggest game of the year. He has forgotten about the wedding, and is not prepared to miss this match.
He suggests they re-affirm their vows in the club car park. Ben is left baby sitting while Janey and Susan go off to see the Vicar. Susan is vitriolic about Ben but still wants him to arrange the renewal of vows.
Ben and Kenzo have a heart to heart about women being difficult to live with as their brains are smaller than men’s. Janey is about to ditch the Vicar but Susan has put him off going out with her, and he offers her a place for Kenzo at the school. Ben and Susan have a meeting to decide on the big day.
There are no friends at the ceremony because Michael couldn’t find any, they are all Polish workmen from the internet. They do not speak English.
Susan has written a huge speech and Ben’s is on a tiny post it. Susan flees upstairs and Ben talks to her through the bathroom door, and says everything he should have written down. She comes out and insists he says it all again at the ceremony.
