Episode Summary

Roger arrives bearing Kiwi, and is promptly offered bacon for breakfast, which Ben would have liked. Susan explains he is interested in Abi.
Abi has to race off to work and Susan tells Roger she knows he is interested in someone and he gets the wrong impression and thinks Susan means her!
She tells Roger how to make a play for Abi. She tells him how Ben had written this wonderful poem when they were courting and she recites it. As Susan nears the end Roger starts to recite the poem. Ben hadn’t written it at all. Susan is very unhappy. Nick has decided to dedicate his body to science, and he is testing tablets which may cause memory loss. Ben is concerned until he realises Nick may forget where he lives.

In bed later that night Susan explains that she is terribly hurt about the poem, and that their entire marriage is based on a lie. Ben says it is based on many lies. She asks for a new poem, from Ben, and tells him they won’t make love until she sees it.

We see Ben in the surgery trying to compose a poem, without much success. He is blaming Roger for starting all this, and suggests Roger writes the poem for him. Roger refuses. Nick has forgotten who Michael is because of taking the tablets. Michael asks him to repay the money he owes him. Nick pays him, he waits another 20 seconds and asks him again, Nick pays him again. Ben enters and Michael tells Nick he is the television repair man.
Ben confesses to Susan he can’t write the poem, but he has really tried. Susan is dressed in a negligee, she is dressed to tempt him but won’t let Ben near her. Nick enters and still thinks Ben is the TV repair man.

The following morning, Nick is taking poloroids of everyone, to remind himself of who everyone is and he is also writing important messages on his body so he doesn’t forget things. Abi suggests he attend the poetry class with her. Later that evening he is at the poetry class, and keeps interrupting everyone’s poems. Finally it is the turn of the crazy lady at the back to say her poem, she simply screams and falls on the floor! Ben likes that one! Susan makes Michael carry the exercise bike up to the bedroom. She needs a release.

Ben is still trying to write the poem in the surgery, when the crazy lady at the back from the poetry class turns up unannounced to seduce Ben. Roger enters while she is stripping! He rushes out leaving Ben to somehow ask the lunatic to get dressed and leave! Roger and Susan have been jogging together. When the phone rings, and it is the crazy lady, saying she wants her husband, Susan thinks it is the wrong number and hangs up. She rings again, and Nick answers it.

Finally Ben returns with the poem written and wants to read it to Susan. Susan just wants sex. Ben insists he reads it all after all the effort he has put in to it. We see Nick in bed with Vanessa! We cut back to see Ben still reading the poem and Susan on the bike again!
