My Family is the most watched sitcom in the UK

London 17 September 2009. Don Taffner Jr, President of DLT Entertainment, today announced that production has started on series 10 and 11 of the award-winning sitcom, My Familystarring Robert Lindsay and Zoë Wanamaker, reprising their roles as Ben and Susan Harper.
The ninth series of My Familytransmitted in April this year, with the first episode achieving 9.41 million viewers making it the number one comedy transmitted by all broadcasters in 2009, with all seven episodes of the series making the top ten. Overall, My Familyseries nine was the most watched comedy series of 2009 with a half hour average of 7.2 million viewers (figures below).
On Friday 25th September over 5.2 million viewers who watched a 3rd telecast of an episode from series 6 made it the third most watched non-MY FAMILY comedy half hour in the last 12 months with only a single episode of first run series Outnumbered and a single episode of first run series Reggie Perrin watched by more people.
Earlier this year the BBC Trust singled out My Familyas one of the corporation’s comedy successes and with this commission DLT Entertainment has again secured one of the largest comedy orders in history.

My Family is produced by DLT Entertainment UK in association with Rude Boy Productions. It is produced by John Bartlett and executive produced by Don Taffner Jnr and Tom Anderson who will continue to lead the table of writers.
